The design of these cards are my own adaptation of the banners of the Abbey of St. Denis from the Middle Ages.  The oriflamme -- “golden flame” -- was the sacred battle standard of the King of France and a symbol of divine intervention on the battlefield from God and St. Denis in the Middle Ages. Packaged as a set of 8 cards, size 5.5 x 4.25 inches.
